Definitely not ready to sell!!!! Walked in to look at a specific used car with financing in hand and a $500 trade in. Drove car with a very nice salesperson. Requested a routine transmission service with the sale due to the mileage. NO on the trans service NO on the $500 trade in( offered $300) Added $600 for documentation fee( also called aggrevation fee because you're not financing car here) Try to add $560 (optional) VIN ETCHING And to boot the car was filthy inside with grease marks on the headliner and around the doors. Either Middletown Nissan has an abundance of sales customers and cars are flying off the lot or Sales are very weak and there is no money to ready every vehicle for sale Both scenario is worrysome. Feel sorry for the salesperson Walked away haggling over $200, but it's better in my pocket Update: Came into Hamden Chevy Mazda today to look at another vehicle The Owner Brian happened to be here. Brian also owns Middletown Nissan among many other dealerships. Brian explained the dealer fees as they were presented to me. As it was explained with a cash deal the sale is very skinny and all the legal fees that are applied are necessary to keep the overhead. Made lots of sense and as I am a business owner as well I do understand paying the bills while attempting to stay competitive. I am in the process of purchasing a vehicle here. Hope that clears up my initial dismay .
