So we went to Gary Smith Ford initially just to look. We knew we needed something with a bunch of space as we have a few kids and a dog. We wanted to trade in my smaller car in the deal as well.
When we got there, Matt was eagerly waiting to do his job- as car salesmen do. He was willing to get whichever keys to try to fit a suitcase we had brought along, in the back of different vehicles as this was our requirement for ourselves.
He was persistent but not unpleasantly pushy. Eventually we tried an expedition, and tried to get approved, but couldn't get the payment down to what we needed a month (which honestly was quite low for a newer vehicle, but my husband set the boundary and kept it).
So the first night, we left car less, after natty spent 3 hours with us trying to jump through hoops but just couldn't get the math to math.
He texted me after, apologized that we couldn't get it to work. So my husband and I talked about one of the smaller ones, and I texted Matt back about an appointment to come in and see one they had pulled back to have serviced. We agreed to meet again. We got there at that appointment and Matt had the vehicle pulled up front, well my husband asked to see a similar vehicle but about 10 grand less in cost. So without hesitation Matt went and got that one. Within 2 hours we had filled out paperwork and was to the point of filling out the check. Low and behold my husband didn't bring the check boom. While he ran back to our house to get it, Matt sat with me and my 6 month old and just chatted about life. He's a very friendly personable guy. My husband got back, signed the check and off we went.
If someone asked me where to go for a vehicle I'd send them to Matt. Very hardworking, determined, and goes above the norm for his customers. 100% deserves the best, because he gave us his best.
I know he gets a cut of what he sells. But you wouldn't know it based on how he was just seeming so friendly. It wasn't about that we needed to buy. It was about us getting what we needed, and he made it happen.
