Upon arrival for my wife and I's new born, I really wanted to make sure to get my family of 7 all in one vehicle. With that being said, I did not want to just jump into buying something just to have it. I wanted a reliable, yet spacious car, for us to roam around in. Just so happened that roughly 2 days before our babies due date we had seen a car that would fit perfectly for us! The carfax proved it had been maintained, and the car was used for rental use so we new it had to have been taken care of. We soon came across Irwin who had walked us through the process of being first time car buyers. We had an excellent and kind experience! No pressure in having us "buy to just buy", like some other places we had previously visited. Especially with our kiddos being loud and playing in the "play area". Irwin gave us the freedom to really test out the cars we were interested in! Letting us take out the cars for a test drive as a family and really role play how it would be in certain life situations. Jose in finance was also very kind and helpful on the financing side of things as well! Overall, we are very happy with our purchase and our experience of the long process of purchasing a brand new vehicle! Were really looking forward to taking it out on a mini vacation to really enjoy the features of our new 2023 Chevy Suburban LT! Thanks again to Irwin and Jose for being patient and very helpful with our first full experience of purchasing a new car! We will definitely be back when we are considering on buying a new vehicle! I felt the need to update my review because I recently had an experience with the service department at Goldstar GMC in Salinas, and I have to give special recognition to Kurt, the service manager. I had an issue with my new vehicle, and from start to finish, Kurt went above and beyond to help me, exceeding all my expectations.

He was incredibly communicative, keeping me updated every step of the way, and his timeliness and efficiency were outstanding. I’ve never received such excellent customer service from a dealership’s service department before, and honestly, I never expected to. But Kurt completely changed my perception—he was on top of everything, ensuring my vehicle was taken care of quickly and correctly.

If you need service at Goldstar GMC, you’ll be in great hands with Kurt. His professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set him apart. I sincerely appreciate his help and highly recommend working with him!

Best Car-Buying Experience—Hands Down!

If you’re looking to buy a vehicle, don’t go anywhere else! This review is for the incredible sales team at Gold Star in Salinas. We’ve purchased several new vehicles over the years, and this was by far the best experience we’ve ever had.

Irwin, our sales rep, went above and beyond. He was upfront, honest, and never played games or tried to upsell us. His communication was prompt, he was always on time, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. There was truly nothing that could have been improved—it was a perfect experience. I got the best price on my vehicle and felt completely taken care of.

A few days later, I brought my car back to have some additional items applied, and Carlos made the process seamless. He set me up with a loaner car and was incredibly kind and helpful. The level of customer service I received here is something I haven’t experienced in years.

Huge thanks to Irwin, Ted, Carlos, and the entire sales team at Gold Star! We will only be buying from here moving forward and will be referring all our family and friends.
