Cassandra and the rest of the team made trading in my old Crosstrek for a new one really easy and quick. They found the exact color I wanted and had it in their lot in a few days, I probably spent less than 3 hours collectively during a couple of Saturdays to first go over what car I wanted and then came back to give them my old car and drive off with the new one. This is one of the better Subaru dealerships in the area and I highly recommend them for both sales and service.

I am a first time buyer from this dealership and I am very pleased with the service I received. I purchased a 2013 HONDA CRV from Tyler Higley. We did have an issue with tires finding out they were weather cracked. Tyler came through with helping getting loaner cars for me to use and the service initiated for replacing the tires. We recently purchased a vehicle from Lundgren Subaru in Bennington, VT. Our experience was a mix of exceptional people and values, tempered by some unfortunate service and communication issues.

What stood out in a positive way:
- Cassandra, our salesperson, was kind, honest, and incredibly helpful. She listened to our needs and helped us find the right car for our budget.
- GM Joe was simply wonderful—warm, responsive, and truly committed to making things right when issues came up.
-Petie in Finance answered all our questions and throughly explained everything.
-Nick helped us with our trade in. He was very kind and knowledgeable. On a side note, Nick's love for animals was especially endearing. (We are vegan & animal advocates)
-The people who work at this dealership work seamlessly as a team.
- We deeply appreciated that this dealership supports local animal charities, which was a major reason we chose to buy here.
- Most importantly: we love our Subaru. It’s exactly the vehicle we needed with 5 rescue dogs, and because of Cassandra and Joe’s integrity, we absolutely plan to be returning customers.

Where the experience fell short:
- On our test drive, we noted the following problems (My husband is a Senior Mechanic and looked the vehicle over in depth):
- Air conditioning wasn’t working
- Heat shield was rattling
- Wheel bearings were howling
- We clearly communicated these issues to Sales Manager Chris, who assured us the car would be fully repaired before delivery.
- However, when we picked up the car, none of those repairs had been done.

What followed:
- GM Joe stepped in and made everything right. He promised the issues would be fixed. Joe scheduled the repair and followed through with care and professionalism.
- But when we dropped the car off, we had a very disappointing interaction with Sales Manager Chris. His tone was dismissive and condescending. He told my husband:
- “We gave you a sweet deal and we won't make a profit on the car"
- The parts were costing the dealership too much. (Chris said that the repair on the car was going to cost the dealership 1k.)
- We should just use our extended warranty for the AC, despite the fact that these issues were noted twice before purchase. He said that Lundgren Subaru couldn't afford any other repairs on the car.
-"Well, you're a mechanic,  you're going to hear everything".  (YES. That's why we were very clear about the issues we witnessed on the test drive and looking over the vehicle)
- We had paid cash, made no demands, and were easy to work with. That kind of treatment felt disrespectful and uncalled for. It also felt very manipulative & passive agressive. As though we had done something wrong by asking for the repair.  This was not okay treatment by Chris. Where we come from—Minnesota—a handshake means something. It shouldn’t just be a sales tactic.

After repairs were supposedly done:
- Only the wheel bearings had been fixed.
- The AC still didn’t work (freon was empty)
- The heat shield was still rattling
- The air filter was filthy
- The codes were never cleared in the ECM,  indicating service never ACTUALLY scanned the vehicle for codes or issues.
- This showed clear lack of quality control from the service department, which was frustrating after everything we’d already clarified. (We felt like the service department did the bare minimum to fix the car. Was that instructed by Sales Manager Chris? That's a saftey issue. Very disappointing)

Final thoughts:
We’re grateful for Cassandra and Joe—two people who genuinely care about customers and live the values this dealership claims to stand for. Because of them, and because we truly love our car, we will continue to support Lundgren Subaru.
